Kwando

This area only touches a very small area
of Chobe National Park and the live blood of
this area is The Chobe and Kwando Rivers. The
landscape is very reminiscent of the Okavango
Delta. Wildlife in the winter months swells
to enormous proportion making this area a perfect
add on, with the advantage that camps and lodges
are few and far between making this a premier
wildlife region.
Adjoining the Linyanti area is the Kwando concession
of 2 300 square kilometers
(550 000 acres). It is arguably the best concession
area in Africa! Blessed with 80km (50 miles)
of permanent river frontage. The Kwando area
is home to vast herds of game and during the
dry season is home to more elephants than the
entire country of South Africa!
This expansive area is home to two small exclusive
camps and they are the only camps allowed to
operate photographic tourism in these areas,
which means they have total control over the
game sightings. This is very important for the
quality of your safari.
