In the northern extremity of the Chobe National
Park, along the Chobe River, is an expanse of
vast floodplains and savannah called the Puku
Flats. The area is renowned for its large herds
of buffalo and elephant, which come to the rivers
edge to drink and graze. Chobe Savanna Lodge,
located on its own private concession on the
Nambian side of the Chobe River, peers west
out across the vast Puku flats. The imposing
main building, constructed of thatch and timber
balustrades accommodates the lounge, library,
dining room, and the “game viewing bar”
which commands 270 degree views over the Chobe
River and beyond. Furniture, sourced from as
far as Asia and the Americas, blends with the
African inspired interiors creating a feel in
tune with the savannah environment. Outside
the main building, on the banks of the Chobe
River, is the open boma, an ideal place to watch
game at night across the river and conduct stargazing.
The lodge also has a plunge pool with sun deck
ideal to relax around.

Exquisite accommodation provides 12 twin / king-size
bedded stylish thatch and brick suites, all with private
decks, a combined bedroom/lounge area tastefully furnished
in subtle earth tones with an eclectic African theme,
and luxurious en suite bathrooms with walk in showers.
The suites are suitably equipped for total luxury;
air-conditioning, as well as over head fans for extra
ventilation, a fully stocked complimentary bar, tea
and coffee making facilities as well as thick towel
robes are provided for, to make guests stay as comfortable
as possible.
Game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle in the Chobe
National Park, game viewing by boat as well as sunset
cruises on the Chobe. Nature walks and guided canoeing
along the river as well as a cultural excursion to
one of the surrounding local communities.
